Directions

  • Take a heavy based pot, place the spice mix ingredients together, stir well to combine, submerge the pork, close the lid and place on the BBQ on a low setting and allow the pork to slow cook for 2-3 hours or until the pork falls apart and is easy to shred.
  • Shred pork using a fork and leave in the remaining sauce to keep succulent, warm and with maximum flavor.
  • Just before the pork is ready, assemble the quick slaw.
  • Slice the dinner rolls in half, leaving hinged, spread the apple sauce on one side, followed by the pulled pork and top with the slaw.
  • The ingredient list may seem as long as an arm, but well worth the effort.
